Sandberg Instituut On Chinese New Year's Eve in 2023, Kaiyu's uncle passed away in China. Kaiyu was in a severe emotional breakdown and also felt sorry for his cousins and aunt. 

Kaiyu remembers his uncle gave him jewelry when he was three years old, but due to it being a long time ago, he had already forgotten what it was, then his mom told him, it was a necklace with a golden calabash. 

In this book, Kaiyu traced back his uncle's life through his family's memories and structured the possible shape of the golden calabash his uncle gave him to commemorate his uncle.
